Read this articleNew iOS 8.1.1 Brings a Fix for iPhone 4s and iPad 2
For all of those iPhone 4s and iPad 2 users frustrated with operating system challenges, Apple has just released iOS 8.1.1 aimed specifically at helping improve the usability of those older devices. Since the earlier release of iOS 8 many users of these older “legacy” devices have experienced slowdowns, glitches, and frustrations after installing the updated operating system. These frustrations are similar to ones that were felt at the initial release of iOS 7, which also required an update to rectify.
The iOS 8.1.1 update targets performance improvements on the iPhone 4s and iPad 2, which many users hope will improve the capabilities of the devices for graphics. Apple has indicated that there are other minor bug fixes included as well as general increased stability with the latest operating system. For owners of newer devices these fixes probably won’t make noticeable differences.
If you want to update your device to iOS 8.1.1, go to your Settings option and select Software Update to download this latest version. As with any system updates, just be sure to back up your data on your iPhone 4s or iPad 2 before beginning the iOS 8.1.1 download process.
