How to Set Your Alarm on Your iPhone 6
People use smartphones every day for one thing – as alarm clocks – but do you know how to set the alarm on your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus? Besides a basic alarm, you can set an alarm to wake you Monday through Friday, but let you sleep in on the weekends.
Your Apple iPhone 6 includes Apple’s Clock App, where you can find and set the features that best meet your needs.
- Open the Clock App.
- Tap Alarm.
- Tap the + to add a new alarm setting.
- Tap Repeat, then tap the days of the week you want to have this particular alarm time.
- Tap Back.
- Tap Sound. You can choose from a preloaded set of ringtones or choose a song from your collection or the iTunes stores.
- Set Snooze to On or Off, allowing you to get some extra Zs if you want.
- Label your alarm setting [i.e. Work Alarm for this one, then create another for the weekends].
- Adjust the hour, minute, and a.m./p.m. dials that appear on the bottom of the screen to reflect the time you want to be awakened.
- Tap Save.
You should see the word “On” appear on your main alarm screen, but if it still reads “Off” you can turn activate the alarm by tapping “Off”. While the alarm on your Apple device can’t make you wake up, it does make it pretty easy to customize the alarm on your iPhone 6 with these easy steps. Getting out of bed is up to you!
