The Aria Casino in Las Vegas has accepted a $100,000 fine from the Nevada Gaming Control Board after they refused to allow state agents to watch a high-stakes roulette table. This past February two agents were watching high-stakes gamblers play roulette when a supervisor advised them that the high rollers did not want them watching.
The agents who had not identified themselves as working for the government were then threatened with security guards. This action was contrary to the Nevada gaming law that states that all casino gambling must be open to the public and in full view, and this is not the first time that an MGM casino has been found guilty of this particular offense.
The fine still has to be approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission, as the NGCB has only posted the proposed settlement on their website for feedback. The Aria had originally received a fine of $500,000 for this latest rule infraction.
