Read this articleHow to Select an International Keyboard on Your iPad
To change the language of your iPad keyboard:
- Go to Settings.
- Go to General.
- Go to Keyboard.
- Go to International Keyboards (some versions will just list Keyboards here).
- Select Add New Keyboard.
- Choose the keyboard language you need.
If you add more than one keyboard to your personal list of international keyboards you will see a globe symbol on the keyboard, just to the left of the spacebar. You can use this button to move from one keyboard to another. If you need to remove a keyboard selection from your list, tap the Edit button (you’ll find it in the top right corner). Tap the red circle with the keyboard language you want to remove and then the red Delete button that appears.
If you only need a few features of international languages, such as accent marks, you can access these by pressing and holding down on the letter you need to adjust, such as an accent mark on the English letter E, and a popup menu of options will appear for that letter.
So whether you need UK English, a version of French, Chinese, or another world language, accessing and using an international keyboard on your iPad is only a few easy steps away from your fingertips.
