Read this articleHow to Password Protect iWork Documents on the iPad
To password protect the documents you create using iWork with iOS 8:
- Go to your iWork suite and open Pages, Keynote, or Numbers.
- Open the document you want to protect.
- Tap on the tool symbol that looks like a wrench. This will take you to the Settings option.
- Select Set Password from the Settings options.
- Enter a password. A small lock icon will show up on the document to show you it is secure.
- Enter a hint.
The next time you want to access the document you will be asked for your password – so chose your password and hint wisely. You can also set password protection on your iWork document from iCloud by following the same steps as listed above.
Now you can share the document securely via an email attachment or through iCloud when you give the recipient the password. Using password protection settings on iWork documents with your iPad or Mac is just another way to increase security while taking advantage of the convenience of digital documents.
